TEDxHISD - Franz Hill - Once A Lanier Debater, Always a Lanier Debater

Franz Hill is the current debate teacher at Lanier Middle School. He has taught theatre arts and speech in HISD at the elementary and middle school level for ten years. He is a native Houstonian. His wife, Sarah, works for Writers In The Schools and their three children attend Travis Elementary. He has been the debate coach at Lanier since 2007. Franz attended Lutheran High North and received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and his Masters of Education at the University of Saint Thomas. What makes our (Lanier Middle School of Houston, TX) eight-time national champion debate team successful? About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
