Miguel Bell? tells us that asteroids do exist. Thousand of "things" are flying in the universe and they do represent a threat. Miguel drives us through a fascinating history of the most important asteroids which impacted the Earth in the paast and their devastating consecuences, and explains the different strategies that humanity has figured out to mitigate the impact of asterois. One of them is deflecting their trayectory. The Project Don Quijote, created by Bell? and his collegues, tries to do precisely this, through an experimental revolutionary methodology. Miguel Bell? studied Areonautical Engineering at the Universidad Polit?cnica de Madrid. PHD in Aeronautical Engineering, and PDG at IESE, he created DEIMOS in 2001, in which he has covered different management roles in Spain and abroad. DEIMOS is a Spanish private aerospace company providing engineering solutions and high-technology systems. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
