TEDxPalermo - Matteo Ferrari - Surfing Italian Waves
Matteo is a photographer and a surfer. In 2010, together with a friend and colleague Luca Merli, his two passions eventually match in the making of the first documentary about surfing in Italy, "Onde Nostre" ( traduced sounds like: "Our own Waves") entirely shot in 16mm film. Aside from his assignments in fashion and reportage photography, he works on his own several projects, among which Automotive Monogamy, winner of the 2007 ARTE Prize. This independent TEDx event is operated under license from TED. This event is not being organized by the TED conferences -- this is an independently organized TED event. Thank You to Margherita Bruno for translation. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
