Jeremiah Church is an entrepreneur and recent graduate from the University of Vermont with a Bachelors of Science in Community Development and Applied Economics. He owns and operates WoodBelly Pizza, a mobile pizza business that brings local and organic pizza to farmers markets and other events in Northern Vermont. Jeremiah's TEDx presentation will center on the question of what conditions create the space for social entrepreneurship. His talk will explore how farmers markets operate as spaces of social and economic exchange, and in doing so solve the most difficult problems of our food system. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
