In his address to the audience, Colin McElwee, founder of the NGO Worldreader, gave description of his project aimed at the production and distribution of electronic books in Ghana. He speculated about the role of these books as an authentic revolution in the education sector. McElwee underlined the advantages of electronic books over paper-based books regarding weight, ease of use and low cost when produced in large quantities. He assured that these books bring about magnificent oportunities for developing countries in aid of education and alphabetisation of the community.
