TEDxBerkeley - Eric Rodriguez - 04/03/10

In March of 2009, Eric submitted the winning proposal to UC Berkeley's Bears Breaking Boundaries Curricular InnovationContest with the course "The Economics of Philanthropy." Thanks to generous support from Doris Buffett, president of the Sunshine Lady Foundation, students in the course will be selecting a Bay Area nonprofit to donate $10,000 to by the end of the Spring 2010 semester. ------------------- TEDxBerkeley 2010 - Doing the Unprecedented - took place on Saturday, April 3rd, 2010 at UC Berkeley. Over 700 attendees and 157,000 live-stream viewers enjoyed the day. About TEDx, x = independently organised event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organised events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organised TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organised.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
