Wet Stone Walls! Some tips on making walls with clay soil as the binder instead of mortar.

I did a small "wet stone wall" about 10 years ago and it is still there all covered in plants. Pretty sweet looking actually. I think these walls are far better for the environment. No cement or lime is used, and insects and spiders can make their homes in the cracks in the walls. Plants and herbs can grow through and between the stones and the roots of plants like thyme actually help hold it together after a couple of years.
