Meaningful context in language learning.

Meaning, resonance, credibility, authenticity, these are all terms that describe the kind of context that leads to successful language learning. For me, vocabulary lists, beginner texts, grammar explanations, and especially grammar exercises are low resonance, and not meaningful forms of interaction with the language. I learn better from high resonance contexts.
