This is a wake-up call for us: Greenpeace's Kumi Naidoo in Copenhagen

On Friday 18 December 2009, world leaders arrived in Copenhagen to hammer out a deal to protect our climate. They failed. What Barack Obama and the other leaders produced was far from the fair, ambitious and legally binding treaty so desperately needed to avoid a complete breakdown in our climate. Immediately after the results of the negotiations were announced, Kumi Naidoo, executive director of Greenpeace International, appeared at a press conference organised by the Climate Action Network (of which Greenpeace is a member) and explained how badly our leaders have failed us.
