Arne Duncan stopped by Perry Hall High School to talk with more than 800 Baltimore County teachers before their students return from summer break on Monday. In his message, Arne encouraged teachers have courage even when reforms to the profession seem uneven or uncertain. After his remarks, the Secretary took questions from the audience about a range of subjects including teacher pay, closing the achievement gap, and the RESPECT Project to transform the teaching profession.
