How to Make a Two Sided Game Box for Checkers and Tic Tac Toe

You will have fun for the whole family with this two sided game box you can make at home, together. Find the materials list for this project at http://www.LowesCreativeIdeas.com/GameNight Use some wood glue to attach the panels to one of the faces. Then attach the other face to the panels. Clamp and let dry. Drill a hole on each side for your rope handle, then prime and paint and let dry. Measure and tape off two horizontal and two vertical lines. Paint and let dry. Rubber pads make great tic tac toe markers. Just trace and cut them out. For the checkerboard, lay 1 1/2 inch painters tape all the way across the board. Measure and mark lines every 1 1/2 inch. At the first set of marks, score the tape every other 1 1/2 inch. Move to the next mark and score all the way across. Continue this until your last set of score. Then score every other 1 1/2 inch, but offset them from your first set of scores. Peel off the appropriate squares to create the checkerboard pattern. Spray paint the whole thing and remove the remaining tape. Attach your rope and now you have games on the go for the whole family.
