Most sprinkler controllers are set to run your sprinklers for too long. Over watering is one of the main causes of diseased and unhealthy plants. You likely do not need to water before Memorial Day or after Labor Day. Check the soil by feeling the soil to determine if you need to add water. Setting a watering schedule for your sprinkler consists of three steps: 1. Setting the start time of the sprinkler 2. Setting the days of the week you want the sprinkler to run 3. Setting how long you want the system to run Use seasonal adjust settings to apply the appropriate amount of water during the cooler parts of the summer.
