Inspect the tiller by checking the tines and adding fuel. Adjust the depth steak and gently push the tines down, letting the wheels do the work. Troy-Bilt's tillers are equipt with a heavy duty cast iron transmission with a bronze gear drive so the wheels do the work. Established garden or yard beds should only require a few passes. Tilling in this years plants will speed up decomposition process and reduce insect infestation. For new ground, gradually work your way deeper and deeper by lowering the tines with each pass.
