Whats the secret to a great looking lawn? A mower blade. With these easy steps we will show you how to replace or sharpen your mower blade to help keep your lawn looking its best. A sharp blade will cut a yard cleanly so it doesn't get a brownish color every time you mow. For this project the tools needed are: a cloth, a putty knife, a cleaning brush, a blade removal tool, a socket wrench and a new mower belt and blade (if needed). To begin, remove the grass catcher and brush off any grass clippings. Tip the mower on its side. Remove the blade with a socket wrench. With the blade removed, use a putty knife to remove any grass clippings. If the blade of your mower is dull, sharpen with a blade sharpener and balance, or replace the entire blade yourself. Reattach the blade and begin to mow. For more lawn mower maintenance tips and advice, visit http://www.Lowes.com/Videos.
