We introduce the determinant of a square matrix, giving explicit formulas for the 1,2,3 and 4 dim cases. The general pattern is also described. Then we give two important examples, one relating to the Triple quad formula and Archimedes' function, and the other to Euler's function, involved in Euler's Four point relation. This video is part of the WildTrig series, which introduces Rational Trigonometry and applies it to many different aspects of geometry.
