WT67: Trisecting a right triangle
We analyse the third problem from our Quiz #2 (WildTrig 62). This problem studies a right triangle which has one vertex trisected, and for which we know two of the three lengths into which the opposite side has been divided. We are asked to find the length of the third segment. The second and third spread polynomials figure prominently in the solution. This video is part of the WildTrig series, which introduces Rational Trigonometry and applies it to many different aspects of geometry.
