The Women's Law Project
Though great achievements have been made in gaining equal rights for women, there is still much work to be done for women to be truly equal in our society. The Women's Law Project is an organization that is fighting to protect the rights of women with the mission of creating a more just and equitable society that advances the rights of women and their families. They were founded in 1974 by a group of feminist attorneys devoted to equality and justice. Since then, the Women's Law Project has challenged sex discrimination, advanced the rights of lesbian and gay parents, advocated on behalf of impoverished women, championed the rights of sexual assault and domestic violence victims, and much more.
