Multiple myeloma -- blood cancer formed in bone marrow

Multiple myeloma is a cancer caused by malignant plasma cells. Plasma cells help the human body fight infection, but when they multiply out of control, the myeloma cells overpower the bone's healthy cells causing harmful side effects; such as bone fractures and infections.
