June 4, through June 10, survivors and caregivers were celebrated through a variety of activities and educational events in and around MD Anderson. MD Anderson organizes annual Survivorship Week activities to commemorate National Cancer Survivor's Day, which is recognized nationally on the first Sunday in June. Throughout the week, we had the privilege of talking with many of the survivors and caregivers who participated in the events. We heard so many stories of resilience. We asked a few to share their perspective on what it really means to be a cancer survivor.
