This dish is a really fun take on classic nachos. Instead of tortilla chips and cheese, you use green apples and top them with all sorts of sweet, gooey treats! Yes, they're completely decadent...but hey, at least you're starting with fresh fruit, right? This is a good one for both kids and parents, you really can't go wrong. ------------------------------- Apple Nachos 4 medium Granny Smith Apples peeled, cored and sliced into wedges juice of 1 lemon melt together 35 caramels and 1 Tbsp. water on a double boiler ? cup chocolate sauce heated up in a sauce pan 1/3 cup chopped pecans 1/3 cup white chocolate chips 1/3 cup crushed heath bars 3-4 large strawberries sliced thin Melt caramels over a double boiler until they are soft and runny. Heat up chocolate sauce in a sauce pan. Slice apples into wedges and arrange them in a circular pattern on your platter. Squeeze lemon over the top to keep them from browning too quickly. Drizzle melted caramel and warm chocolate sauce over the top. Sprinkle heath bar, pecans and white chocolate chips all over the top. Slice strawberries and arrange them in a circular pattern for some beautiful color. ---------------------------------- SUBSCRIBE on YouTube (Never miss a video!) http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=KinCommunity
