Andrew Wasson of Creative Guitar Studio answers a viewers question... Q: Hello Andrew, I've been studying a lot about harmony lately and I was wondering if you could do a video showing some of your favorite ways of using the Mi7(#5) chord. It has a really groovy sound, but so far I've had no luck placing it into a chord progression. Please help! Thanks for reading my question, - Wayne, Montville, NJ. A: For me personally, I like to use this chord off of either the third, or the sixth step in a major harmony. And, off of the root or 5th step in relative Minor.
