The End of Belsen Murder Camp (1945). Bergen-Belsen was a Nazi concentration camp in northwestern Germany, near Bergen. This prisoner of war camp became a concentration camp on the order of Heinrich Himmler. The camp was liberated on April 15, 1945 by the British 11th Armoured Division. 13,000 corpses lay unburied around the camp. 60,000 prisoners were found inside seriously ill.
