"The Constitution does not envision the President of the United States saying that 'I will decide what compensations, what redress will be elicited from a British owned company,'" says Armey. "There are courts for this purpose." ----- Former congressman Dick Armey discussed the growth of the Tea Party movement and his new book "Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto" at a lunch hosted by The Christian Science Monitor on Wednesday afternoon. Armey is the chairman of Freedom Works, an organization that advocates lower taxes and less government involvement. He talked to reporters about the need to limit the role of the federal government and the power of the President. His book will be released later this summer. Richard Keith "Dick" Armey is a former U.S. Representative from Texas's 26th congressional district (1985--2003) and House Majority Leader (1995--2003). He is currently chairman of the conservative non-profit organization FreedomWorks. His latest book (co-authored with Matt Kibbe), Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto, will be released in August 2010.
