Obama on the Wisconsin Impasse Over Bargaining Rights for Public Workers

In Feb. 2011, Governor Walker of Wisconsin demanded passage of a law that would sharply curtail collective bargaining rights for public workers. Minority Democrats in the state senate left the state to prevent passage. Public workers staged a prolonged sit-in demonstration in the state capitol. Two clips: The first is a recording of a campaign speech by candidate Obama in 2008 to a union audience.
