Two-Sided Phonograph Record
The invention of the two-sided phonograph record doubled the length of the recording. This demonstration record introduces this advance in technology to the public. Was there really double value, as claimed? Popular records usually had the "hit" on the A side, while the B side had an unknown song on it. Note how the announcer pauses to take a breath. Recording in those days involved shouting into a large horn. The more volume, the better.
