Veteran CBS Newsman Don Hewitt died of pancreatic cancer Aug. 19, 2009, at his Bridgehampton, N.Y., home. He was 86. Hewitt was the founder and executive producer of "60 Minutes," the most successful and most imitated newsmagazine in television history.
