Astronauts of NASA's Atlantis STS-135 Mission Visit AMNH

The American Museum of Natural History celebrated the historic Space Shuttle Atlantis STS-135 mission, which marked the end of NASA's Space Shuttle Program, by welcoming the mission's four astronauts, Commander Chris Ferguson, Pilot Doug Hurley, and Mission Specialists Sandy Magnus and Rex Walheim, to the Rose Center for Earth and Space on August 16. At their first New York public appearance since completing the mission on July 21, the astronauts spoke briefly about their experiences and answered questions from children in the audience. This event was moderated by Museum Curator Michael Shara.
