Properties of integrals Learn how to use the properties of integrals to simplify a definite integral. When you have the sum or difference of two terms in an integral, you can separate them into two separate integrals. When all terms inside the integral are part of one product or quotient, you can pull a constant coefficient out in front of the integral to simplify it.
