The 2012 BRUCENNIAL at 159 Bleecker Street.

The Bruce High Quality Foundation, is a loose knit group of art world hucksters and goofs, playing on the vanity and gullibility of the New York art world and its elitist institutions. Who doesn't love a good joke, and when these wicked jokesters pull out all the stops, a splendid time is guaranteed for all. This exhibition is billed to have over 375 artists participating with the likes of David Salle, George Condo, Ron Gorchov and Julian Schnabel taking part. Some have suggested that this is a critique of the current duel between the Whitney Biennial, that opened last night, and the "Ungovernables" a survey exhibition currently at the New Museum. It seems to this reporter, that for pure fun, the 2012 Brucennial takes the cake.
