Cardiac Action Potentials (in class)

An in class video describing how action potentials are generated in autorythmic cells and cardiac muscle cells of the heart. Discussion includes the initial conditions set up by the Na/K ATPase, the ion channels involved (in a general sense), and the overall shape of the action potential. This video is intended for pre-allied health students in a community college anatomy and physiology course. A scan of my hand-drawn notes that I use to create this lesson can be found at http://www.kirkwood.edu/pdf/uploaded/695/handrawn_cardiac_action_potentials.pdf
