This is a little test for the first ever Tate Movie which we're about to start work on with Aardman, the creators of Wallace and Gromit. The Tate Movie will be the first of its kind - an animation film made by and for children across the UK. Children will create every aspect of the film, from the hand-drawn characters and plot twists, down to costumes and comic sound effects. Tate and Aardman will run production workshops in primary schools and art galleries, and there'll be an interactive website where children can contribute their ideas and drawings. The website and workshops will start in summer 2010, and the final film will be shown at cinemas across the country in Autumn 2011 or Spring 2012. The project is being sponsored with £3 million from the Legacy Trust, a charity set up with Lottery and Arts Council funding to celebrate the Olympics.
