The San Jose Sharks Hockey Team Visits the National Archives

On Monday, February 7, 2011, the San Jose Sharks visited the National Archives in Washington, DC, while in town to play the Washington Capitals. They met with the Archivist of the United States David S. Ferriero (second cousin of Sharks player Benn Ferriero who wasn't able to make it to the tour) and were given a tour by NARA staffers Miriam Kleiman and Maureen McDonald. Archivist Trevor Plante showed the players original documents from a treasures vault including" War Plan Crimson," the U.S. Army's 1930s contingency plan to invade Canada, should that ever be necessary.
