Texas' Ticketing of Students can give Parents Trouble Too

The Criminal and Education Codes in the State of Texas allow students to be given Class-C Misdemeanor Citations for a variety of behavioral infractions as well as for truancy. Students who are ticketed must make a court appearance, resolve their cases with the judge and pay any assessed fines or face being arrested at the age of 17.
