A year of severe drought has taken its tolls on the estimated one million water wells that stretch across the state of Texas. The water levels are too low, and many of the wells too shallow. And that means a lot of work for well drillers and pump installers like Charles Barnard, who works for Bee Cave Drilling. He was working yet another Saturday when we met him.
