The main goal of this class is to enable the participants to understand and apply the principles of language documentation with special emphasis on doing this in a multimedial way. For this reason the class is subdivided into two main parts: After a brief introduction the first part focuses on the development of all necessary multimedial components, such as graphics, sound, animation, and video, that constitute the necessary elements of a well-documented language. This part is supported by numerous screencasts that introduce you to the use of the underlying developmental tools such as graphic, audio and video editing. In the second part we will put it all together using HTML 5, the platform independent mark up code. This includes a discussion and the use of jQuery.
