Boehner: 11th-Hour Deal Reached to Avert Government Shutdown

For more coverage: http://newshour.pbs.org House Speaker John Boehner spoke just before 11 p.m. ET following a closed-door meeting and announced the House Republicans had reached a deal with the White House and the Senate just before the 11th hour to avert a government shutdown. Boehner said the House would pass a "bridge" continuing resolution to keep the government in operation through the middle of next week before an agreement can be voted on to keep the government funded through the end of the fiscal year in September.
