Chinese President Hu Addresses U.S. Business Leaders
President Hu Jintao of China addressed American Business leaders on Thursday at a luncheon co-hosted by the U.S.-China Business Council and the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. Henry Kissinger, largely responsible for opening Sino-American relations throughout the 1970s, introduced President Hu calling the state visit a 'success'. Hu emphasized his call for mutual trust and mutual respect between the two countries, something that has become a theme of this visit. He spoke of ways the two nations can benefit from economic partnerships saying the friendly exchange between U.S. and China can give a 'strong boost to human civilization.'
