The Pre-Raphaelites in Oxford: Christ Church - Stained Glass in the Cathedral

Here we look at two stained glass windows, both designed by Edward Burne-Jones (the later one in conjunction with William Morris): the Saint Frideswide window (1859) and the Saint Catherine window (1878). The College of Christ Church was founded in 1525 by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey on the site of the Priory of St Frideswide, and the college chapel -- which is also the cathedral of the city of Oxford -- was originally the Priory church. http://www.history.brookes.ac.uk
