Saving the Howler Monkeys of Panama: Primate Conservation

Oxford Brookes University Primate Conservation MSc graduate Pedro Mendez is working to save the Howler Monkeys of Panama's Azuero Peninsula. The approaching extinction of many of our closest living relatives - monkeys, apes and prosimians - and the destruction and loss of their habitats highlight the need to offset the effects of the current decline in natural resources. Oxford Brookes' award-winning Primate Conservation MSc combines the expertise of anthropologists and biologists to examine primate conservation biology in a broad context, with particular emphasis on the relationships between humans and wildlife in forest and woodland environments.
