Scott Winship: Ensure Underprivileged Children Get Support Needed to Succeed

Scott Winship: The challenge for policymakers is twofold: to promote economic growth and make sure that underprivileged children get the support they need to help them succeed. On September 20, 2012, the Social Genome Project at Brookings presented new research on how many of today's children are likely to succeed, who they are, how success at one stage affects success in subsequent stages of life, and what might help keep more children on track. Keynote speaker Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado and a panel of experts reacted to these findings. Learn more about this event and read the related research paper at: http://goo.gl/py4CR
