NASA Honors First Human Space Mission Flight Director

NASA named its Mission Control Center in Houston for Christopher C. Kraft, Jr., on April 14, 2011. Kraft was so honored by the agency for his service to the country and contributions to the nation's space program. He was America's first human space mission flight director managing every Mercury and several Gemini missions. Kraft later served as Director of the Johnson Space Center.
