Prince Turki Al-Faisal, former ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the U.S. (Apr 23, 2009 at Cornell University) The prince is a founder of the King Faisal Foundation and chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in Riyadh. He was appointed an adviser in the Saudi royal court in 1973. From 1977 to 2001, he served as the director general of the General Intelligence Directorate, the kingdom's main foreign intelligence service. In 2002 he was appointed ambassador to the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. His visit is part of the Einaudi Center's Foreign Policy Distinguished Speaker Series.
