Slopes of Tangents and Instantaneous Rate of Change

This lesson demonstrates how to approximate the slope of a tangent line using a secant or by determining the slope of the tangent using the grid. Another interpretation of this is regarding how one can approximate instantaneous rates using an average rate over a short interval.
