I went through sanding with grits 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, and 2000. It's a lot more difficult than it may look, because it's hard to know when you're done with the fine grits. You have to pay attention to the feel of the sanding and the sound. The sand-throughs is mostly the fault of not spraying enough clear coat in those areas. The monkey grip with the most sand-throughs is no surprise. Edges should be sanded with carefulness. In the end, I really like the glossy, holographic look.
