It wasn't too long ago that I was visiting Thomas Starr King Middle School as a television reporter showing how the students there united to speak out against the use of styrofoam in their school cafeteria. They built a styrofoam monster showing just how much waste was produced daily, and LAUSD heard their message! This year, there will be NO MORE STYROFOAM used by LAUSD Food Services. Congratulations to the students and staff at Thomas Starr King Middle School for speaking out and making a difference!
