http://www.VideoJoeKnows.com/ Patching around a thermostat...Part 2 If you have an indentation in the sheetrock, around the thermostat &/or t-stat location, it's best to patch that in with quickset material....for a quick job of things, then apply the all purpose joint compound, after that, for a nice smooth surface. Before painting around the thermostat/t-stat location, make sure to do THIS. Take your time, when patching around a t-stat &/or thermostat location, as your eye is drawn to that, after the painting has been completed. Patching around a thermostat may take several coats, in order to blend in the sheetrock patch, to the existing surrounding wall area. It's not hard to patch around a t-stat & or thermostat location.
