Adding more mud to a sheetrock patch

http://www.VideoJoeKnows.com Adding more mud to a sheetrock patch, is an important part of the repair. Making sure you blend in the mud at the ends of the sheetrock patch, is important to do, before adding the skim coat. If you don't blend in the ends of the sheetrock patch, your patch could stick out like a soe thumb, when you get done.....& we don't want that. Spending a few more minutes, on your sheetrock patch, won't hurt anything.....it will just make the patch come out looking that much better, that's all! Once you complete the top coat, you will need to let the sheetrock patch dry all the way, before adding anymore mud for the skim coat. The top coat of your sheetrock patch needs to dry all the way, as the mud is shrinking while it is drying....remember that. If you put the skim coat on too soon, your sheetrock patch may reappear after you prime & paint....I don't think you want that. http://www.VideoJoeKnows.com
