In this math video, I work with similar polygons. Before I solve any problems involving similar figures, I define similar figures as: The corresponding angles are congruent and the corresponding sides are proportional. The similarity ratio is the ratio of the corresponding sides of the polygons. I use the concept that similar figures have proportional corresponding sides to find the missing length given polygons. Also, I use indirect measurement to estimate the height of objects that are not feasible to measure. I model how to identify corresponding parts of similar polygons.
