Over 1.25 million app downloads! Using MIDI Expression Expression is an effect you can add to an audio track after you have recorded it. It is a way of making a chord or note sound softer or harder while it's playing and gives it an emphasized sound. Expression in Track Editor On the left side of the track editor window, find the?View?bar. Click the bar and scroll to the?Expression View?option. The?Expression View?will produce a graph that numbers from 120 to zero. The loudest expression is at 120 and the lowest is at zero. These levels are similar to volume but produce different sound effects.? Points of Expression To start a place of expression in your audio region, click the?Apple?key to get the pen tool. Click the pen at the start of the expression on the graph. This will produce a small dot that marks the beginning of the expression.? Use the pen tool to select the low point of your expression. The second dot will automatically connect to the first one with a straight line. Use the pen again to release the expression. Click on the graph where you want the audio to return to its normal level. This third dot will automatically connect to the previous one with a straight line, and the three points will create a "V" shape.?
