Trimming and Removing Crossfades - Pro Tools 9

Check out Bas Rutten's Liver Shot on MMA Surge: http://bit.ly/MMASurgeEp1 After you've added a crossfade between two audio regions in your Pro Tools session, you may realize it's too long, too short or needs to be removed.? Before you start, it's a good idea to check which mode you're in. The Grid mode restricts your editing to the grid timeline. It can be easier to use the Slip mode so that you have the freedom to place the fades wherever you want them.? Now go to a crossfade on a track.?To trim down the size of the crossfade, hover the cursor over the right or left side line of the crossfade region. The cursor will become a trimmer tool.? Using the trimmer tool, click and drag the crossfade side line in or out to make the region longer or shorter. You can trim just one side of the crossfade or both of them.? If you want to remove the crossfade, first highlight the fade region. Then click Delete. This only deletes the crossfade, not the audio in the region.
